Research with Students
At CSU, I will be recruiting students to work with me on sociocultural and applied projects. If you are interested in working with me, please contact me at [email protected].
At UVA, I managed and mentored a team of 6 undergraduate research assistants and 2 undergraduate interns, and coordinated team research with a seminar of 12 undergraduate students. I worked with UVA's Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service to manage 1 undergraduate Policy Intern.
Research for Students
At the University of Arizona, I ran a project funded by the UA Graduate College, requested by the School of Anthropology (SOA) and the Anthropology graduate student organization (AGUA). I independently executed this research and deliverable, with guidance from SOA Director Diane Austin.
- Research Phase (5 months): Using surveys, interviews, and focus groups, I found strong needs for streamlined institutional memory, strengthened mentorship practices, and guidance especially for first-gen and Indigenous students.
- Implementation Phase (5 months): I collected and wrote over 50 webpages for an online "AnthGrad Toolkit," including information about life in Tucson, working and learning at the SOA and UA, repositories of student documents (grant proposals, thesis copies, course syllabi, etc.) , and career advice from faculty and alumni.
My Courses
- At Colorado State University, I am scheduled to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate anthropology and social science courses, including Field Methods, Environmental Anthropology, Climate and Environmental Justice, Applied Anthropology and other special topics. Prospective students should contact me at [email protected].
